A Dutch art exhibition is coming to Sydney later this year. So if you’re a fan of 17th century Dutch Republic (aren’t we all), Vermeer or Rembrandt you’ll be all over this one.

In partnership with Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum, Rembrandt and the Dutch Golden Age is coming to town as part of the Sydney International Art Series 2017-2018.

There are 78 works confirmed to appear and most have never been shown in Australia before, so this is definitely a rare opportunity. There’ll be intense portraits, dramatic seascapes, tranquil scenes of domestic life and studies of fruit and flowers.

They’ll be an entire room dedicated to Rembrandt and if that is your jam, then head here for more details.

The Details:

What: Rembrandt and the Dutch Golden Age: Masterpieces from the Rijksmuseum
When: 11 November 2017 – 18 February 2018
Where: Art Gallery of NSW, The Domain
Cost: $12 – $24
