Let’s face it, now is as good a time as ever to get in touch with your creative side.
Whether that’s unleashing your inner Yayoi Kusama, Salvador Dali or Tracy Emin, the choice is truly yours. And while, yes, attending an art class to hone your skills is officially off the cards for the next little while, that doesn’t mean your artistic bent need be limited to the contents of your pantry. Not at all.
Here to save the day is Clay Sydney. The Marrickville pottery studio has decided to continue all of their epic ceramics classes and courses—but instead of hosting them on-site as per usual, Clay Sydney has found a way to bring the clay, the tools and the vibes to you.
Basically, Clay Sydney will home-deliver a block of clay, instruction pack and tools to your door—ready for you to get dirty and release the creativity. You’ll then be able to join a live stream at the class time, or tune in afterwards via video at a time that suits you.
When you’re done, you can drop off your creations to Clay Sydney, who’ll fire and glaze without a handshake in sight.
Adult classes include a make a mug night, create your own Jewellery, planter pots (important) and wine and cheese nights (very important). There are also stacks of kids classes if you’re after a way to entertain little ones.
Adult classes are priced at $55, and kids at $40. Your clay should be delivered next day, but the Sydney Clay crew are advising to try and book a week out to ease the pressure on Sydney’s already stacked up courier services.
For more things-you-didn't-know-you-could-get-delivered in Sydney, we got you.
