The internet may be losing its mind over Gen Z Yellow, but over in England, summertime is all about purple. Specifically, lavender lavender lavender, as far as the eye can see.
The famous Mayfield Lavender farm in Surrey is re-opening for the season, and it promises 25 acres of organic lavender goodness for you to wander through in a dream-like state. The flowers are grown free of pesticides, herbicides and fertilisers, so you know they’re going to smell really good.
And if the promise of running through a field of lavender isn’t enough (it should be), the farm is dog-friendly (well-behaved poochies on a lead only!) and offers a “bee safari experience” which sounds cute AF.
The lavender flowers bloom from about mid-June, but the best time to visit is in July and August, when they reach their peak lavender goodness. So, If you think you’re going to get Instagram-envy from the #lavenderfield hashtags on your feed, there’s still good time to sort out your travel itinerary. More info here.
