Is it just us or has the June long weekend snuck up real fast this year? Well, obviously we’re not complaining, but instead, we’re whipping out our diaries and filling it to the brim with every fabulous thing happening around Sydney this weekend. Negroni Week
Imbibe magazine is teaming up with Campari to bring us Negroni Week from today. That means, for seven whole days, thousands of venues will celebrate almost 100 years of the iconic Negroni cocktail. Plus, they’ll be donating a portion of Negroni sales to over 40 charities. So, say cheers to charity and join in the celebrations of this iconic drink—the perfect mix of Campari, gin and red vermouth. Sydney’s Transport Heritage Expo
You can ride a real vintage train and bus this week, and yes, you can even head for a spot of tea on a dining carriage from the golden era, and it’s all thanks to Sydney’s Transport Heritage Expo. There’s even The Great Train Race where the steam locomotive 3526 (‘The Nanny’) and the Southern Hemisphere’s largest operating steam locomotive 6029 (‘The Garratt’) go head to head. The Sydney Bus Museum will be operating a fleet of vintage double-decker buses around the CBD, you’ll just need a gold coin donation. More info here.

The Coors Block Party is back, and once again, it’s supported by the iconic Australian hip-hop duo REMI who will be pumping tunes alongside Sydney hip-hop artist B-Wise. Merivale is throwing a party and we hear it’s going to be a damn good one (no surprises).
