Marli Rose Hairdressing
One of Sydney’s freshest salon faces when it comes to the Hairdressing game, Marli Rose is a boutique salon located in the heart of Alexandria. It doesn’t hurt that the salon is located in one of our city’s most up and coming lifestyle hubs and the fact that they’re bringing over 15 years of industry experience and friendly salon vibes to the table only sweetens the deal further.
Grano
Wetherill Park is home to one of Sydney’s most adorable and quirky Italian restaurants, Grano. Combining a whole lot of brick, wall and hanging plants, exposed lighting and a miss-match of furniture, Grano is designed to feel welcoming and homely. One look at the menu, and you’ll know that you’ve come to the right place—for delicious Italian food, that is. The salads here are not your ordinary salads, with bocconccini wrapped in lightly fried speck (now we’re talking), topped with rocket and balsamic. Other top picks are the slow roasted duck pomodoro gnocchi, or the wood-fired Italian sausage, cooked with olives, zucchini and prosciutto, because there’s no such thing as too much cured meat.
Eté
French food is having a moment and we're beyond excited about it. Showing no signs of slowing down, Eté (french for summer) is set to open in Barangaroo so we can continue our obsession with all things champagne and snails.
Bar Ume
Surry Hills’ favourite Japanese-style burger bar has opened at Barangaroo to bring the hard working corporate world all of the saké and edamame you ever want.
Lekker Bikes
When the word cycling comes to mind, somehow the image of a 50-year-old man, who shouldn’t be wearing lycra as well as cable ties in their helmet to fight off the unruly Magpie, is what appears. Thankfully, Lekker Bikes is here to save the day (and those of us who just can’t handle the stereotype any longer).
Fishbowl Sashimi
Bowls packed full of goodness is exactly what Fishbowl is serving up in their Manly outpost (hot tip: this venue is huge). Once the sun goes down they’re even serving wine and cocktails as well as a light dinner.

Authentink
Authentink is one of Sydney’s most premium tattoo studios and they really do have a specialist for all custom tattooing styles. You would prefer dot-work or traditional Americana? Yeah, they have people for that too.
Dutch Smuggler
A cold drip coffee paradise has opened up in Broadway Shopping Centre and before all of you coffee snobs head for the hills, listen in, because they actually know their way around a coffee bean. They go by names like Coco Coffee, Roots in Coffee and Lemonade Stand.

But it gets even better—their successful expansion across Sydney has made it easier than ever to get your mouth around these burgs.
Royal Stacks
Royal Stacks has landed in Chatswood from their home in Melbourne and we are very happy about it. It all starts in exactly the same way as it does with their online store – by answering a few questions about your personal style. But that is where the process changes, because now you’ll actually get to try on your new clothes on the spot.

Miss Marley’s
No we’re not talking about that Jen Anniston and Owen Wilson film about a gorgeous Labrador, that made us cry for two hours straight. Although, this place might make you cry, but from the pure joy of a delicious, delicious meal. Miss Marley’s, set in Sydney’s Manly, has been injected with a Latino vibe, and guess what? We’re feeling cultured AF.
Devon at Barangaroo
Joining the increasingly impressive line up of vendors in Barangaroo, Devon on Danks is sitting pretty in Sydney's newest foodie hub. You’ll be happy to know that their cronuts and Persian fairy floss are most certainly happening here and we are confident that you'll love this one sick.
Choux Love
Tucked away in the streets of Sydney’s Chinatown, Choux Love is a desert lovers dream. We didn’t think crepes could get any better, but it turns out we were wrong! While they may not be French, these guys have deserts down, taking a classic French recipe and giving it an Asian twist with their “Mille” crepe dish. Who can say no to 20 layers of thin crepes filled with layer upon layer of cream? Not us that’s for sure. And the goodness doesn’t stop there, you can feast your eyes before filling your bellies with the pastries, cakes and other treats on display in the cabinets.

The Bank Hotel
Revamped pubs are popping up left, right and centre, but our money is on The Bank Hotel (ha, get it?) as one of the best. The King Street institution in Newtown offers exceptional Latino flavours thanks to SoCal’s Zac Smart who has ventured to the other side of the bridge to take over the kitchen. With a charcoal barbeque, the beer garden now channels a back lane festival with a relaxed vibe and a Latino influence. The food is incredibly bueno too; the octopus with romesco and the corn fritters with green tomato salsa are our picks.

Bite, Chew, Drink, it’s an Korean-American fusion eatery in the CBD, serving fried chicken wings with options. You’ll have to choose between sweet and spicy, Asian BBQ style or even poutine, with fries and bacon—we’re not even joking. No doubt, our favourite dish on their menu is the panne pasta bowl, and as expected, it’s a huge serve of creamy pasta served in a bowl made from bread #heaven. But in case you’re watching your carb intake, then order the super cheesy pasta with Korean hot sauce, because life is all about balance after all.
