Physicore Mosman
For an all over workout you can’t go past Physicore. They offer 50 minute workouts that are designed to help you become strong and toned no matter your existing level of fitness. Known as "Pilates on steroids" the beds are larger than your typical reformer Pilates machine, and they focus on slow and consistent movements rather than a higher number of reps. While the slow movements may look easier, trust us, they are not!

The first thing you will notice when you walk into Avenue Road Cafe is the vintage pastel pendant lights hanging from the ceiling. The second thing you will notice is the smell of fresh food coming from the kitchen. The cafe’s aim is to create fresh food using high quality ingredients, all served with a smile. Open seven days a week, our pick is the Avenue Benedict: crispy duck and cauliflower cous cous on sourdough with poached eggs, apple cider hollandaise and dukkah (ah, YUM!).

Berkelo Bakery
Devoted to bringing back the essence of good, simple food, Berkelo Bakery’s food (and life) philosophies are something we can easily get behind. Focused on long fermentation breads, using local ingredients and enjoying ‘naughty foods’ in moderation are what Berkelo Bakery is all about. This Brookvale bakery uses 100% Australian stoneground flours for all of their breads and pastries.
Salt Meats Cheese Bondi
Salt Meats Cheese is popping up all over Sydney... and we’re loving it. They’re finally bringing their delicious deli offerings to the Eastern Suburbs. Rumour has it that the deli will be an impressive ten meters long and feature only the best of Italy’s culinary delights. Filling the shoes (and space) of the old Norton Street Grocer in Westfield Bondi Junction, they should have customers lining up to get to their cheese cabinet.

Tucked away in Erskinville is the oh-so trendy Naked Brew. Dishing up crispy pork belly and buttermilk waffles, apple crumble brioche french toast and black pudding baked eggs, it's a brunch lover's dream come true.
Vernon’s Bar
Vernon’s Bar describes themselves as cheeky, dapper and chill, which is accurately reflected at the bar with their Willy Chapman cocktail (sloe gin, apricot and prosecco), too much gin (not actually possible) and boutique beers. The food at this bar in Summer Hill is worth a mention, since it would proudly sit on any menu in the CBD and Chef RJ (formerly of Longrain) has added his own personal flair to the offerings. Think dishes like hiramasa kingfish crudos with ruby grapefruit, cucumber and horseradish and a chestnut, Jerusalem artichoke and portobello pie.
Elektra

Lilong
Situated on the rooftop of Westfield, Hurstville, Lilong is bringing Sydney a taste of authentic Shanghainese cuisine, and the best part? It’s like dining from the owner’s living room, that is, if his home was a luxurious 1930s Shanghai styled house.
Public House Petersham
Public House Petersham may not be the new kid on the block anymore but it sure is the kid you want to be making friends with. After a revamp in in 2015, this Sydney venue has been ticking all of our ‘things that make a good pub’ boxes. And, believe us, those prerequisites are pretty hefty but PHP has us convinced.
The Tiny Giant
Cronuts, Campos coffee and clever culinary creations make this Petersham café a must visit for Sydney’s Inner West. The Tiny Giant is ticking all the right food, drink and social media boxes with free wifi, all day breakfast, delicious lunches and Instagram-worthy presentation. Cancel that airfare because Sydney now has its very own New York style pizza place (and it's about bloody time guys) in Darlinghurst. You could easily confuse yourself into thinking you're in the Big Apple at this tasty hole-in-the-wall with their classic 22 inch pizzas by the slice complete with your favourite toppings.
Manta Restaurant & Bar
There’s no denying Sydney’s harbour is one of the best of the Australian cities (if not the world), so it’s fair to say we’re always on the hunt for a venue with a view—and it doesn’t get much better than Manta Restaurant and Bar.
The Wilmot
Located adjacent to the stunning lobby at Primus Hotel Sydney, the menu at The Wilmot reflects the Asian and European style of the hotel. Executive chef, Ryan Hong (you may know him from Rockpool Bar and Grill, Black by EZARD and ABODE) has crafted the menu to serve contemporary cuisine with an Asian twist.

Set in Castlereagh Street above the celebrated Alpha, Beta promises to deliver a menu of authentic Greek meze plates, ideal for sharing, alongside a cocktail menu that puts a Greek twist on all the classics. The Dirty Greek Martini features a blend of Belvedere vodka, cucumber tomato tea, Noilly Prat and crushed Volos olives, served with a grilled horiatiki skewer which we think will go perfectly with the rock oysters with cucumber, green olive, rose and sumac dressing.
THR1VE
THR1VE isn’t your run of the mill lunch spot, instead serving fresh flavour bombs that are vibrant and tasty. Built on the mission to deliver real food, real fast, THR1VE is the ideal hit-and-run spot for a healthy lunch, or breakfast which they serve all day from 7am. Their inner city locations mean that you no longer have to make do with unhealthy and uninspiring lunches in the middle of your workday and can instead make your first choice, conveniently the healthiest choice.
Fratelli Famous
Sydney staple, Fratelli Fresh has a little brother in Fratelli Famous, which is part of a dual Fratelli offering coming to Westfield Sydney. It is the first (of hopefully many) pizzeria spin-offs where you can build your own gourmet takeaway pizza if you aren’t in the mood to dine in at the more traditional Italian eatery.
Fishbowl Poke Bar
Finally a cafe in Bondi has given us the opportunity choose your own combinations when it comes to sashimi and, more specifically, sashimi bowls (which is basically a deconstructed sushi roll, FYI). At Fishbowl Poke Bar you can literally design your own salad, with their BYOB (build your own bowl) concept that means you don’t have to settle for any ingredients that you don’t like. The process is simple – select your base, then sashimi and then add in any of the house prepared toppings and dressings on offer.
Balcon by Tapavino
The guys from Bar Tapavino on Bulletin Place have opened Balcon By Tapavino on Bligh Street, and we're quietly confident it will be our new favourite bar in the CBD. Their second venue brings one seriously impressive wine bar, and a restaurant complete with a unique food menu to our fair city.
The Royal
Positioned on the street corner of a busy intersection in Darlinghurst, The Royal is a quaint, hole-in-the-wall café serving epic eats and awesome coffee, which is no surprise as they use a Little Marionette blend made specifically for them. That’s right, these guys know their coffee but, so too do they know their food.

Eat Fuh
Insanely popular farmer’s market regular, Eat Fuh, has finally become a brick and mortar restaurant and if the lines of fuh-natical fans (see what we did there?) have anything to say about it, they're here to stay. They specialise in authentic Vietnamese pho in Sydney, with both beef and chicken options served from their gigantic pot of pho.
The Mowbray Café
The Mowbray Café in Willouby is all about community and bringing farm-to-table breakfast and lunch to its loyal customers. Four legged friends are welcome with “dog parking” out the front; making this the perfect spot for a family meal out, ladies lunch, or a quick pit stop on your Sunday stroll. The light, bright and breezy interior is as inviting as the all-day menu, packed with delicious options. Choose from a classic cheeseburger with dickles (deep-fried pickles), potato gems, or creamy mushrooms with scrambled eggs, watercress and goat’s cheese on freshly baked bread.
A Brewers Tale Café
A Brewers Tale Café in Darlinghurst has it all; good vibes, great food, quality coffee and smashed avo on toast (an unspoken must-have in Sydney). This quaint little café has the kind of interior that makes you want to park up, grab a good book and settle down for a cup of coffee and a tasty meal. Which luckily for you they just so happen to provide. Their speciality coconut cold brewed coffee is perfect for Sydney’s notoriously hot summer days, and their pulled pork dish is both drool-worthy and totally grammable—our favourite combination!
Seoul Project
Conveniently located in Sydney’s CBD, Seoul Project is serving up modern Korean dishes on the daily. This bustling restaurant is always jammed packed full of hungry diners feasting on all of the BBQ meats, noodle dishes and, of course, Korean fried chicken. The real twist on this epic menu is their Korean X Mex section. Yep we’re serious, these guys are combining modern Korean flavours and putting them in tacos and quesadillas. Our fave is the simple combo of shrimp on a soft taco, with sweet corn, kimchi slaw and sour cream, which we wish we’d thought of first, TBH. Enough said.
Madame Nhu
Madame Nhu specialises in all things pho and summer rolls, as all good Vietnamese eateries should. Here, they’re done with a modern Vietnamese flair and the menu involves dishes like grilled lemongrass pork summer rolls and baby banh mi—also known as Saigon sliders.
Darcy St Project
Our day usually starts with a cup of coffee, and so does theirs. Darcy St Project is passionate about bringing Sydney folk great coffee from around the world and growing the coffee culture in Greater Western Sydney.
Deep Groove
Deep Groove is the Newtown bar that lets you choose a drink, then your fave song, before settling back into your seat and waiting for your jam to come on. It’s basically like requesting a song from a DJ, without all of the awkward yelling and, you know, they’ll actually play your request. We recommend that you treat it like a love song dedication and really commit to the musical cause.
La Renaissance Patisserie and Café
They’ve been filling our bellies with sweet deliciousness for 40 years from their iconic location in The Rocks, and have opened their second location in Waterloo. Here you'll be able to pick up handmade pastries, tarts, cakes and chocolates, as well as a little something-something for lunch too (did someone say sausage rolls and pies?!).

Sydney dessert cafe, Passiontree Velvet boasts a visually astounding menu of cakes, teas and macarons so that you can enjoy high tea, an afternoon pick-me-up, and some of Sydney's most decadent hot chocolates.
Uncle Tetsu
Uncle Tetsu's famous Japanese style cheesecakes are now in Sydney, and we're just a little bit excited about the whole thing. And the local offering of this international chain is made with local Australian cheese. Seeing as Australia is a major half of this magical offering you should hustle up the crew and head on down to the cheesecake that could possibly be one of the best cheesecakes in Sydney.
RUKUS Café
Self proclaimed as disturbingly good we would have to agree with the team at RUKUS café. These guys have got balance down to a tee, with their menu, made from organic and local produce, which is oh-so on trend with smoothie bowls, salads and epic burgers, all of which look just as pretty as they sound.
Footage Boutique
Once dedicated to sneakers alone, Darlinghurst store Footage has morphed into a fully-fledged boutique in its own right and you should be excited about it. Yasaka Ramen
If you’re a fan of ramen in Sydney, and live by the “No Ramen, No Life” philosophy, you’ll probably know about Yasaka Ramen. This Neutral Bay outpost of this popular joint is serving up ramen that’s a little different to that of the CBD store—that is, they are not using the pressure cookers as seen in the CBD shop to make their stock, but are sticking to the OG style of making stock, using simply heat and a pot. This way of cooking seems only fitting, considering Neutral Bay is basically the hub of Japanese food in Sydney.
Salt Meats Cheese
The flagship outpost of Salt Meats Cheese has undergone a huge makeover and on August 1st, the site will launch as a two-for-the-price-of-one concept venue with The Chef’s Table Restaurant and Patisserie. The Chef’s Table Restaurant will run every Thursday through Sunday and will leave no barriers between diners and chefs. The menu will comprise of 10 dishes, changing weekly depending on the chef’s choices and seasonal produce. You can expect fresh breads, decadent cakes and pastries daily, which until now, have been sourced from local suppliers.
Gelato Messina
Often described as Sydney's best ice cream store, Gelato Messina is opening up shop in Newtown this August. With their wonderfully wacky specials and their classic flavours set to grace the tastebuds of Newtown locals, we're pretty excited about this expansion (but less so the expansion of our belt buckles).
Spiced by Billu’s
The newest outpost by Billu Singh, Spiced by Billu’s, will be bringing the authentic Indian food they’ve been serving Sydney for years to another location, Wulugul Walk at Barangaroo. Arguably some of the best Indian in town, Billu’s is seriously dialing up the spice-meter (and we’re pretty rapt about it). If you want a taste of ‘real’ Indian fare then Billu’s will become your go to. The menu features all of the regular favourites, like melt in your mouth buttery naan, classic curries, thalis and dosas. We’re not sure you can order the wrong thing here, TBH.
PRIME Restaurant
Sydney’s favourite (and most celebrated) steak restaurant, Prime, has been consistently voted as the best steak restaurant in Sydney since 1999. The interior is inspired by a New York style fine dining restaurant and has an impressive a la carte menu to match, offering 18 premium steak options, including Wagyu, Black Angus and Angus Hereford Yearlings, which would be music to any steak lover’s ears. They also offer a variety of seafood, poultry and vegetarian dishes (yes, really), for anyone who isn’t in the mood for steak.
Thai Hot Pot
In this day and age, if our food is not on a train, we are quite simply not eating it.
Big Poppa’s
Throw your hands in the air if you’se a true lover of all things small bar in Sydney. That’s a lot of hands. Which is great, because there’s a new kid on the Oxford Street block, and his name is Big Poppa.

The steaks are lightly smoked with hickory and the twice-cooked pork belly is enough to send us pork lovers into a frenzy.

Passiontree Velvet
Passiontree Velvet is the kind of place that you can head for a decadent treat yo’self moment or a ‘grammable (and delicious) brunch with your mates. The menu can be divided into three categories – brunch, baguettes and dessert. Their baked stuffed avocado is a good place to start because who can say no to an avocado lined with smoked salmon and a baked egg, seasoned with chilli flakes and cracked black pepper? As for the desserts; just take a look at the glass cabinet and try to not walk away with seven slices of cheesecake.
One Tea Grill
Nestled in Chatswood’s Hawker Lane, One Tea Grill is the place to head for all of your matcha cravings and to take their now infamous ramen burger for a test-run. The latter was made famous at the Night Noodles Markets and is exactly what it sounds like—a burger with a bun made entirely from ramen noodles and a beef patty filling. Vegetarians will also be pleased to know that they serve a vegetarian version as well—with a miso tofu patty instead.
Rutland Street Sandwiches
Never underestimate the art of sandwich making (yes, it is art) and Rutland Street Sandwiches are totally on point. Don’t be put off by the line, because we all know that’s the sign of a delicious feed and when you get that sandwich in your gob, it’ll all be worth it. They aren’t too pricey which is always a win and we recommend that you grab an eggplant katsu sandwich or the popular chicken schnitzel (our fave).
acre Eatery
The team behind The Greens in North Sydney have done it again and worked their magic on the Camperdown Commons site, which formerly housed the Camperdown Bowling Club. Playing on the large space, which is rare in the area, Sydney restaurant acre is a 350-seat sustainable farm-to-table concept restaurant with Head Chef Gareth Howard (former Regional Executive Chef of Jamie’s Italian) taking very good care of diners (and their stomachs).
The Wine Room At The Dolphin Hotel
The final space unveiled as part of the Dolphin Hotel’s overhaul is the wine room and salumeria and aptly combines two of our favourite things; exotic wines and charcuterie. The Wine Room features a balanced, producer focused wine list with more than 35 wines served by the glass and 150 by the bottle, hailing from Ballarat to the Barossa and also Trentino, Italy (to name only a few). There is also a curated collection of cocktails, including the wet martini, spritz and negroni, all featuring small producer distilled local spirits.
