It’s a wrap for S/S 19 Fashion Week in New York, London, Paris and Milan. Among the big budget moments—Savage x Fenty’s inclusive game-changer of an inaugural show, Helena Christensen walking for Dolce & Gabbana, and Gigi Hadid’s wedding gown magic at Moschino, just to name a few—it was the avalanche of inspiring beauty looks that have left us dying to chuck out our nude palettes and swap them for all things fluoro and glitter.
This summer, beauty is bold: bold eyes, bold lips, bold hair. Swap subtle tints and sweeps of pastel shades for intense pigments, and follow the rule of thumb that, if it's got glitter in it, pile it on. We’ve hand-picked our favourite glittery looks from the S/S19 runways that you need to be rocking right now.

Glitter Eyes | Halpern, Simone Rocha And Valentino
Eyelids were loaded with glitter on the Halpern, Valentino and Simone Rocha runways. From chunky glitter pieces glued onto eyelids in rainbow hues (for the record, don’t try at home) to shimmering foils reminiscent of Boogie Nights, summer 2019 is the year glitter gets a grown-up makeover.
Go Halpern bold with Stila’s Magnificent Metals Liquid Eyes in Gold Goddess (2) or Beauty Bay’s gold flakes (1), then outline in Nars Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Via Veneto (3). For a subtler take, dab Milk's Holographic Stick in Supernova the corner of your eyes.
Foil Lips | Jeremy Scott
Bold lips dominated the SS19 runways. Rodarte’s bold red lip was paired with theatrical flowers adorning models’ hair, while Moschino’s deep burgundy look was a welcome departure from the usual summery hues, but it was the models on Jeremy Scott’s runway that caught our eye. For his NYFW show the designer paired bold, politically emblazoned 90s looks with foil-coated, metallic-looking lips in a mauve hue.
Dab Hourglass Scattered Light Eyeshadow in Aura (6) over lip balm (we love Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm in Peppermint (4) for its non-sticky formula), or nod to the trend with a slick of Nars Full Vinyl Lip Lacquer in Cape Town (5).
Glittery Tresses | Giambattista Valli
Unlike Miranda Priestly’s faux-surprise for florals in spring, hair glitter was a decidedly welcomed (if unpredictable) turnout on the SS19 runways. Models on the Giambattista Valli runway sporting loose, glittery ends into unkept and wet-look styles.
Backstage, hair stylist Paul Hanlon combed loose glitter powder through the ends of models' hair, then set strands with a heavy spritz of hairspray. For a lived-in look, apply Redken's Wax Blast 10 to dry hair (9), then using either your fingers or a colourist tint brush (available at your local chemist) apply Lemonhead's Spacejam in Birthday Bitch (8) to the ends of your hair. Finish with a spritz of Tresemmé Extra Firm Control hair spray to prevent colour transfer onto your fave tee.
Great news; Go-To Skincare has finally launched an SPF!
