Turning 30 is a big deal for anyone, but it’s even more of a big deal when you’re an internationally renowned festival with a habit of producing iconic line-ups. That’s right, our very own Bluesfest is turning 30, and its celebrating with one hell of a party.

Every year seems to get better than the one before, and 2019 is no exception, with Bluesfest just announcing its line-up of iconic and much-loved musicians. Think Jack Johnson, Iggy Pop, Paul Kelly, Hozier, Norah Jones, Kasey Chambers, Julia Stone, and Richard Clapton, just to name a few. Oh, and that’s not all. They’re still adding more and more artists to their stellar line-up, with Triple J Hottest 100 regulars Ocean Alley and Tash Sultana the most recent to join the party.

Held over the Easter long weekend from Thursday 18 to Monday 22 April, Bluesfest makes good use of the 120-hectare Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm. With more than 200 performances spread across various stages over five massive days, the festival offers camping for up to 6000 people, five licensed bars, over 100 food and market stalls, under cover food courts and beer gardens. Now that’s how you throw a 30th birthday party.

Start listening to the ‘Bluesfest 2019 30th Birthday Celebration’ playlist on Spotify to get yourself prepped for the big weekend, and be sure to book your tickets ASAP because this party is sure to sell out. For more information, check out their website here.
