It’s been nothing but good news for Gold Coast and Brisbane’s music scene lately, with festival after festival arriving on our shores and dropping epic lineups right into our laps. And the announcements just keep coming, with the news of yet another event hitting the Gold Coast in 2020.
Taking place on Sunday 3 May at The Spit, Greener Pastures is from the same crew that brought us The Grass Is Greener, and promises to bring nothing but good vibes to its waterfront location.
Judging by their first lineup drop, the good vibes will be in high supply, with Hilltop Hoods the headline act. Also on the bill are iconic and emerging Australian artists like Adrian Eagle, Dune Rats, Golden Features, Chillinit, Luude, Wafia and Clypso.
It won’t just be the music bringing the vibes either—Greener Pastures plans to be one of Queensland’s most sustainable festivals. To achieve this, they’ll be avoiding the use of plastic throughout the entire festival, implementing a recycling system and encouraging the use of reusable water bottles. As well as a huge focus on sustainability, they’ll be raising funds for those affected by the bushfires, with a donate button on the Eventrbrite ticketing website. For every dollar you donate, Greener Pastures will match it.
Oli Frost, Greener Pastures co-owner said, "Sticking to the brand’s ethos of providing ‘greener pastures’, we hope to really lead the way in terms of providing a greener and more sustainable future for festivals. We'll continue to work on ways that we can become more eco friendly."
Further details on the festival itself are yet to be announced, but we’re already keen to dust off our favourite festival outfit and save the date. Find out more and sign up to be the first to know when tickets go on sale here.
