We all knew it was coming and now it's official—Splendour In The Grass has been postponed.
There is good news to go with the bad though—it's not a cancellation. A new date of Friday 23, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October has already been announced, with the major headliners of Tyler, The Creator, Flume and The Strokes already confirmed to still be on the bill.
The festival's co-founders Jessica Ducrou and Paul Piticco said in a statement:
"Health and safety is our number one priority. After careful consideration and consultation with our artists, crew and stakeholders, in these unpredictable times we have decided, as a precautionary measure, to move Splendour in the Grass 2020 out of the winter months.”
"As this is moving quickly and we work through the detail there will be some programming changes but we are confident that rescheduling to October—a one off Spring edition of Splendour—is the best way to ensure we present the Splendour experience you all know and love."
If you've got a ticket, you can either hold on to it for the new dates or request a refund if you already know you won't be able to make it. So if you missed out, nows the time to stay glued to the website for the upcoming ticket drops.
