Down the south end of town, nestled away in the heart of Burleigh Heads, lies an upmarket deli, wine and grocer delighting the gourmets of the Gold Coast.

Wander past Tarte Bakery & Cafe in Burleigh Heads and you'll immediately feel the collision of Parisian and New York style in the forward-facing tables that hug a grand, charcoal grey custom-built façade—typical of establishments found in NYC’s fashionable SoHo and West Village districts. Brass accents are scattered throughout, from vintage train luggage racks stacked with bread to the trim on the custom La Marzocco coffee machine. Other design elements worth lingering to appreciate include mid-century pendant lights shipped over from Amsterdam and the 100-year-old movie theatre counter repurposed as the cafe’s main display counter. The overall result is refined, elegant yet oh so welcoming.  

Almond milk on tap, self-serve nut butters and over 400 different cheeses are just the beginning of what Harris Farm Markets has to offer. Starting their Queensland presence in Clayfield late last year, the gourmet food market has recently opened its flavour-filled doors on the Isle of Capri. At their first Gold Coast store, you can expect a gourmet grocery section of boutique local products, an extensive deli and more than 400 cheeses displayed in their famous Cheese Lane. Cheese Lane is a thing and we're here for it.

It seems like every time we blink, something delicious pops up at Sanctuary Cove and this month’s newbie is a gorgeous new gelato place called Rosé Gelateria.

Attached to the PLB Group’s wedding and events venue Ancora, this waterfront bakehouse is an absolute must do. 

If you, like us, were broken-hearted when Doughnut Time shut up shop then boy do we have some lip-smackingly good news for you—they’re back baby and they’re moving into sought-after Burleigh Heads. The store is set to open its doors next month, AKA the perfect time to grab one of their sugary creations and go for a stroll up Burleigh Hill—‘cause it’s all about balance right?
