Perth's boutique hotel scene has been on the rise for a while now, but from what we've heard about the brand new Leadlight Hotel, it sounds like this is going to be in a league of its own.
Setting up shop on the corner of Beaufort and Newcastle Streets, with entry of Leadlight Lane—hence the name—this 126 room hotel is being built in a gorgeous heritage building and will feature a luxe bar, George and George, alongside a diner on the ground floor, with a rooftop bar, swimming pool and outdoor cinema on top of the hotel tower—we've also heard rumours of a swim up bar which we're pretty excited about!
There's a big focus on sustainability—it's set to be the tallest timber building in Australia—and it sounds like the design is going to be out of this world thanks to lead architects Klopper and Davis Architects.
The best news is that they're looking to cater to locals as well as travellers in all of the shared spaces, so get ready to spend many a Friday night at the rooftop bar!
Until then, here are Perth's best boutique hotels.
