It’s no lie that the faithful Dim Sim is engrained in Australia’s culture. A beloved deep-fried or steamed combination of pork, cabbage and other vegetables that we just can’t resist when stopping by our local fish and chip shops.
Well what if we told you that a brand new food truck dedicated entirely to the iconic Chinese Australian snack had landed right here in Perth?
Enter Mr Dim Sim, Perth’s newest food truck slinging a mouthwatering range of Dim Sims, as well as dumplings, spring rolls, chips and other delicious fried treats. Made popular at the South Melbourne Markets, there’s something special about these Dim Sims—they’re actually the size of tennis balls!
You can order two of these bad boys for $7, then douse them in Mr Dim Sim’s special soy and chilli sauce mix for a real good time. Don’t forget to grab some napkins, because eating one of these jumbo creations is messy work.
Catch Mr Dim Sim at the Optus Stadium Christmas Markets from 4.30pm on Sunday 13 December, and the Christmas Food Truck Fiesta at Mawson Park, Hillary's on from 5pm on Monday 14 December. Follow them on Facebook to keep up to date on where they’ll be next.
