Whether it’s to eat or shop, we love a good night market and when you look at some of them, it’s not hard to understand why.

From international hawker and street food galore to organic and vegan fixations, there’s a night market happening somewhere in Perth almost every night of the week. So before you plan your meals for the week, check out all of these awesome night hawker markets in Perth.

Twilight Hawkers Markets At Forrest Place

Perth’s original street food market, the Twilight Hawkers Markets have been bringing outdoor deliciousness to the good people of Perth since 2011 and have got the whole night market thing down to an art form. Showcasing savoury and sweet food from all over the world, if you can’t find something to enjoy at these markets you need to have a long hard look at yourself. Grab a few baos, some satay sticks, a curry, a paella and some ice cream for dessert, pull up a mini-stool and enjoy the live entertainment.

The Twilight Hawkers Market 2018/19 season runs from Friday November 16 until Friday 29 March, every Friday from 4.30pm to 9.30pm.

Inglewood Night Markets

Championing #NoCookMondays like it’s the only worthy cause on Earth, the Inglewood Night Markets—which were already insanely good—have recently undergone a massive revamp that means increasingly carefully selected vendors, more seating and more open spaces. Transforming Beaufort Street into a mini street festival with truck-loads of food and a stellar line up of stalls, these markets offer some of Perth’s best street food. From What The Bao, Gyoza Joint and Ninja Cuisine to Toast My Curry, El Aleman Loco and O’Taco Roll, there is something for everyone (yes, even you, vegans). Oh, and they’re dog-friendly, too.

The Inglewood Night Market season for 2018/19 runs from Monday 24 September 2018 until 29 April 2019.

Twilight Markets At Perth City Farm

East Perth

Lighting up your Wednesday nights, the Perth City Farm Twilight Markets are a chance to discover this amazing urban community garden while enjoying food from some of Perth’s best local food stalls. The emphasis is on organic, vegetarian and vegan food, and there are also stalls from local retailers offering beauty, household and artisan products. To top it all off, your furry friend is allowed in on a leash.

The Twilight Markets at Perth City Farm run from 4.30pm on the first Wednesday night of every month, roughly. Keep an eye on their Facebook Page for upcoming dates.

Twilight Makers Market At Yagan Square

One of Perth’s most well-renowned market curators, Perth Makers Market set up shop at Yagan Square to put on a series of Twilight Markets for we fine people throughout the year. Expect a curated selection of handmade and artisan stallholders for you to browse through, not to mention food from all of the surrounding businesses.

The Yagan Square Twilight Makers Market run roughly every two months on a Friday night from 4pm to 9pm. To see exact dates for 2018/19, check the Perth Makers Market website.

Maylands Markets At The Rise

A classic neighbourhood night market, the Maylands Hawkers Market is bursting at the seams with delicious food and is home to some great live and local entertainment. There’s plenty of space to set up for a picnic, and there’s even a pop-up bar. The Lyric Lane Pop-Up Bar is open during the night for those wanting to crack a beer with their food (aka everyone).

The Maylands Markets run from 5pm to 9pm on the last Saturday of each month, from September to June.

Kalamunda Night Markets At Central Mall

Once you’re stuffed full of dumplings and sliders at the Kalamunda Night Markets, take a stroll through the markets and check out some of the stalls that are selling everything from artisan wares and handmade goods to gourmet and organic produce. Many of the shops along Central Mall also get involved, keeping their doors open into the night to provide retail therapy for all the desperately-full market-goers. Live music and roving street performers top it all off.

The monthly Kalamunda Night Markets start on Friday 19 October 2018 from 5pm to 9pm and runs until 26 April 2019. Check their website for exact dates.

South Beach Sunset Markets

South Beach

One of Perth’s only beachside markets, the South Beach Sunset Markets are on to a very good thing: late afternoon dips followed by devouring all of the hawker food as the sun drops below the horizon. There’s even a pop-up sunset bar to boot.

The South Beach Sunset Markets run on Saturdays from 5pm to 9pm from December 1 2019 until late March/early April. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates.

Scarborough Sunset Markets At Scarborough Square

After a scorching pilot year in 2018, the Scarborough Sunset Markets were considered so damn good that the relevant authorities went ahead and purpose-built them a venue—Scarborough Square. The stalls will stretch from the Square all the way down to the crisp white sand of the Scarborough Amphitheatre, as punters spill onto the beach with their delicious eats as the sun sets. The markets are also home to a regular live music program, curated pop-up stores and a licensed bar.

The Scarborough Sunset Markets season runs from Thursday 1 November 2018 until Thursday 25 April 2019.

Mount Hawthorn Hawkers Market At Axford Park

Mount Hawthorn

Serving up an insane amount of delicious foodie options, the Mount Hawthorn Hawkers Market is well and truly removing the need to cook on Friday nights. With some regular food vendors and others who might feature on a given week, these markets not only keep you fed and satisfied, but they keep you guessing as well. Bring your picnic blanket, there’s plenty of space to sit back, enjoy some live music (and your food) and relax.

The Mount Hawthorn Hawkers Market happens every Friday night from 5pm to 8.30pm from October until April.
