Cali Press Brings Its Cold Pressed Juice To Bronte

The latest kid on the cold pressed juice block has a pretty neat ethos – clean and natural living à la sunny California. While Surry Hills is home to the ever-expanding Pressed Juices, the Eastern suburbs welcomes the flagship Cali Press store in Bronte. The brainchild of five people from diverse working backgrounds, Cali Press currently offers three green juices, two almond milks and five fruit juices. "Cold pressed" is not just an empty catchphrase – juices that undergo the process remain raw, unpasteurised and retain an extremely high nutrient content due to the lack of heat extraction, which characterises most ordinary juicing methods. This basically means these juices are waaayyy better for you. Win!

For those after a full cleanse, Cali Press offer three separate "levels" of cleansing to allow you to tailor your commitment. If you're new to the whole thing, start out with Big Easy (which contains an incredible cacao smoothie), and then make your way up to Standard, then finally Deep Clean, for a thorough detox and controlled weight loss. If you're not quite ready to trade jam doughnuts for juice packs just yet, opt for individual drinks. Try the zesty Cali, with cucumber, kale, green apple, spinach, lemon and mint, or get a hit of caffeine with the Pacino, a creamy almond milk with dates, cold brew coffee and sea salt.

Beyond the juice, the Bronte store offers a tasty and healthy wholefoods menu that's perfect before taking on the coastal walk. Their organic, raw burrito is hugely popular as are their gooey chocolate brownies which are made with, wait for it… Sweet potatoes!

With warmer days and no more excuses to hide behind winter coats, we can't think of a better time to jump on the juice train.
