Winter is here but that doesn't mean you have to forgo all outings for your electric blanket. There are some amazing food events coming up in June and we think you should drag yourself out of the house for at least one of them. Yes, we’ve found things to do in Sydney that don’t involve Netflix and throw rugs!

We're always up for trying something new and a fresh take one on of our favourite drinks is definitely a sure way to get us excited. The team at Chiswick at the Gallery have teamed up with those talented guys at the Archie Rose distillery to develop Chiswick's very own gin. For one night only you can dine on four courses in signature Chiswick style with all ingredients on the plate crafted to compliment the botanicals found in the gin, think coriander seed and dorigo pepper Kingfish with cardamon pickled rhubarb and tempura saltbush, sign us up!

When: Tuesday 21st June
Where: Chiswick at the Gallery

Okay, we know Mondays are Game of Thrones night but set your calendars for Sunday 19th June and head down to Carriageworks for the wine event of the year. That’s right—Game of Rhones will return to Sydney to bring us the best that Westeros (Aussie and NZ Wineries) has to offer. With over 100 wines to taste test and food to rival the Purple Wedding feast, this will be one delicious event. Head home with your complimentary wine glass (we’ve been told it's the biggest ever) and curl up on the couch ready for Monday night.

When: Sunday 19th June
Where: Blacksmiths Workshop, Carriageworks

Eat For A Good Cause At Variety of Chefs

Sensational food and good music is enough to get us to go anywhere, but throw in the fact that it’s for a good cause and we’re all about it. Variety of Chefs brings together world class chefs to deliver what promises to be a meal to remember (or just brag about for a week or two). With canapes on arrival from wholefoods Jedi Max Valcorza (of Sadhana Kitchen fame) and mains from La Luna’s meat expert Adrian Richardson and Michael Moore of O Bar and Dining, you’ll be eating well and doing good at this event.

When: Saturday 4th June
Where: Australian Technology Park
Cost: $275 per person

Explore Italy With Capriccio Osteria’s Regional Dinners

Leichhardt’s darling Capriccio Osteria has announced a series of regional dinners to bring the best of Italy to Sydney. June will see Sardinia brought alive in the Inner West with special Guest Host Stefano Atzeni from wine importers Chent’annos guiding you through a five-course menu with matching wines. We wouldn’t want to miss out on this night, especially since we heard a rumour there would be suckling pig *drool*, so make sure you book now!
