For those living or working north of the bridge, finding good coffee is few and far between. Fortunately, Underground Espresso opened its doors for locals to get their morning buzz.

Tucked conveniently within Greenwood Plaza, this boutique espresso bar occupies a small industrial-style space, from where passionate baristas work their magic. In the mornings you’ll have to take your place in queue, but trust us it’s worth it. Beans are roasted to perfection via Di Lorenzo and extracted through a sparkling state-of-the-art 3-group Spirit coffee machine. The result is a rich, flavoursome brew that’s sure to keep you going all day. The skilled baristas are experts in their trade and it's no wonder Underground Espresso has instantly drawn a cult following. And while coffee is definitely the main drawcard, there’s also a bunch of tasty morsels to sink your teeth into.

You’ll also find novelties like test tubes filled with cold-drip and the epic Underground Espresso martini created with Connoisseur ice cream, which is sure to cool things down. Joining the ranks of Sydney’s best coffee shops, you’ll want to check out this North Sydney gem.
