What's that? That's the sweet sound of champagne bottles poppin'! Perfectly timed with International Champagne Day (yes, that's a thing), Champagne Room will open its doors to the sparkling beverage lovers of Sydney this Saturday.
Sitting pretty on the upper level of The Winery, Champagne Room is Australia's first Perrier-Jouët champagne bar. With sweeping views of the city skyline, the interior is decadently fitted out with leather booths complete with a champagne bell to ensure one's flute is always topped up.
According to The Keystone Group's Creative Director, Paul Schulte, who curated the entire space, "Surry Hills nightlife is about to house one of the most exciting new bars in Sydney. We've created a seeming synthesis of comfort and a unique escape for Sydney's champagne lovers."
To match your bubbles, a range of dishes are available such as Calvisius Oscietra caviar (of course), freshly shucked oysters and Harvey Bar scallops. For those after something a little less bubbly, Keystone's sommelier Sarah Limacher has selected a line up of top-notch local and international wines to tempt you. And if you're in the mood for cocktails, Group Bar Manager Jason Williams has created French inspired cocktails using champagne as a main ingredient.
A perfect location for a date, girl's night out or just an after work drink, Champagne Room gives us an excuse to drink champagne beyond special occasions. We can now clink flutes to celebrate making it through the working week, to that amazing park you managed to get in Surry Hills, or to the fact you made it to yoga twice that week.
Open every evening from 5pm till late and 11am on Saturdays and Sundays, Champagne Room is a very welcome addition to Sydney's bar scene. Now, where's that champagne bell? We need a top-up!
