Best art exhibition Sydney

There are few things we love more than when our favourite childhood memories make a comeback. Seriously, we’ll take any opportunity to avoid adulting, so it’s safe to say that we’re pretty excited about the return of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie this month in Sydney.

Kicking off last weekend at the State Library of New South Wales, the May Gibbs: Celebrating 100 Years exhibition is doing exactly that— celebrating 100 years since those cute little gumnut babies were born. On show is a selection of original and reproduced artwork from her iconic bush baby children’s books. Cue nostalgia.

To celebrate the exhibition, Harper Collins has released a special centenary edition; so pick one of those up too.

The details:

What: May Gibbs: Celebrating 100 Years
When: Saturday 3 December – Sunday 26 February
Where: Level 1, Macquarie Street Building, State Library of New South Wales
Cost: Free
