This is a one-day-only deal, running from midday to 10pm this Saturday. Early reports suggest there’s going to be f*ck loads of garlic bread on offer, including weird fusion monstrosities like garlic bread pizza and garlic bread burgers (!!). That winter cold doesn’t stand a chance.
The guys behind the bar will also be slinging “garlic-bread-themed drinks”. The mind boggles, really.
Welcome To Bowen Hills is still playing the food truck line-up pretty close to the chest, but we’re guessing it’ll be the usual suspects: Mr Burger, Harry’s Pizza, plus craft brews like Newstead, Green Beacon and Balter on tap.
There’s an ATM on site (if you blow through your garlic money), and kids can stay till 9pm. Pups are welcome all day long.
Welcome To Bowen Hills is following from the success of its sister park, Welcome To Thornbury, who threw a cracking Garlic Bread Festival in April (trust us, we were there).
Where: Welcome To Bowen Hills, 631 Gregory Terrace
When: Saturday 22 June, 12pm – 10pm
