Brisbane Just Got A Cruelty-Free Pop-Up Cinema

Brisbane vegans, this one’s for you. In fact it’s for everyone—red hot carnivores, vegan agnostics, people who feel a bit guilty eating a kebab. You can all get something out of Brisbane’s new Cruelty-Free Pop-Up Cinema.

What is a Cruelty-Free Pop-Up Cinema? It’s a regular movie night at The Green Edge in Windsor with vegan-related screenings, guest speakers, Q&A sessions and delicious animal-free nibbles.

The guys are kicking off this week with German doco, The End Of Meat, which is all about how we can shift to a more globally sustainable diet. (It even includes tips on how to harvest bacon from the ocean…if you’re into that sort of thing.)

Needless to say, if you’re going to eat a Quarter Pounder, we advise doing it before watching this movie.

All proceeds from The Green Edge’s weekly cinema nights are going to local animal charities. This week it’s Cranky’s Farm (an awesome animal rescue facility).

If you’re interested in learning about why eating animals sucks, or you just want to try some delicious vegan food, get down to The Green Edge on Friday nights.
