Brisbane’s Best Pub For An All-Day Session

In Brissy, we’re pretty spoilt for choice when it comes to epic Brisbane watering holes serving up killer feeds and stocking our favourite tipple, but there’s always that one spot that keeps you coming back.

Iconic Brisbane venue, The Wickham (which celebrated its 135th Birthday this year!), transformed itself little under a year ago, and has become a sweet spot for all of your day-to-night social revelry, and a contender for ultimate all-rounder venue in Brisbane.

Feeding your coffee addiction; serving up your caffeine hit from 6:30am on the daily—and cheeky sweet treat, courtesy of a Donut Boyz permanent pop-up on site—, to burgers and beers with your squad, The Wickham knows how to throw a good shindig. Rumour has it The Wickham have some of the biggest burgers in town—their Double Stacked Cheeseburger has your name written all over it—but always keep it local, sourcing all of their herbs from their own gardens, and all of their meat from award-winning Master Butcher, Mike at Wavell Heights Butcher.

Not only perfect for a relaxed post-work bevvie, The Wickham owns the weekend, with DJ sets pumping out the tunes, the kitchen dishing up mighty feeds, and the bar mixing up the best cocktails in The Valley. Their beer menu is meticulously hand-picked featuring some of the best locally brewed craft beers going, and the crew have even collaborated with the boys at Newstead Brewing Company to create their very own beer, ‘The Wickham Spring Ale’ on tap.

Add on the fact that they have one of the largest garden bars in Brisbane (accented by a custom Anthony Lister mural on the wall, no less!), The Wickham is peppered with giant Jenga, classic board games and vintage pinball machines (cold beer and a round of Monopoly, anyone?). They even host weekly Pimms Open-Air movie nights on a Wednesday, and regular trivia nights!

With a killer combination of great food, chilled atmos, and a wicked sense of fun, The Wickham is one pretty serious contender for the best pub in Brisbane.
