What is it about alcohol that makes you want to eat like, a lot of food? What ever it is, we’re not quite sure, but we do know that there’s nothing worse than needing to bail on the squad to grab a cheeky kebab or heaven forbid, Maccas. Thankfully we aren’t alone in this ish and a new trend has popped up in Brisbane: bars with BYO food.
Mr Henderson
Sandgate
These guys know the struggle is real when you need a bite to eat on a night out. Not only do they have a BYO food policy, they also hook you up with on site food trucks.
The Bearded Lady
West End
The Bearded Lady is too busy being one Brisbane’s best bars to get preoccupied with things like feeding people: that’s up to you. And lucky for you, West End has a pretty choice selection of food.
The Scratch
Milton
The Scratch answers many a prayer: local and Aussie beers on taps and BYO food. As if beers could get any better, these guys let you pair them with take away goodness like Thai too. Winning!
Cobbler
West End
If a 150 strong selection of whiskey whets your whistle, then Cobbler is the place for you. Throw in whatever your fave food may be and call it a dream come true.
Grape Therapy
Fortitude Valley
We love food and we love puns, so Grape Therapy in Fortitude Valley is obviously an instant winner in our books. Plus, if you love cider this is the spot to be at: they specialise in boutique cider and wine, have tapas on the menu and encourage you to bring your food.
