If you’re a fan of the man, the myth that is Ziggy Stardust, the goblin king himself, Mr. David Bowie, then you have to make your way to Netherworld in Fortitude Valley on Saturday, November 10. Something magical is happening and it involves a whole lot of red shoes and dancing the blues—Bowie style.
The Cancer Council will be hosting their annual David Bowie-themed charity walk, Bowies Down Brunswick, next month to raise much needed funds. For a donation of your choice, all you have to do is rock up in anything distinctly Starman—from a Bowie shirt, said red shoes, to full Ziggy attire—and you'll be greeted with a crowd of all eras of Bowies, uniting to walk for a bloody good cause.
Join your fellow Bowies as you stride up Brunswick Street; starting at Valley bar Netherworld and ending at Marquee Bar, you'll make a few pit stops along the way for Bowie-themed cocktails. Kick-ons will take place at The Osbourne Hotel for the official David Bowie Dance Party, where you'll dance the night away to banger after Bowie banger.
So put on those red shoes, adorn your face in stardust and have a great night. The best bit? You'll know athese good-time vibes will be raising some serious cash.
