Hands up if you’ve been missing Eat Street desperately since they shut their doors back in March because of COVID-19? Well get ready to get in your car and put those hands on your steering wheel, because the massive street food market is reopening for three weekends this month with a drive-through dessert festival, and we cannot wait.
Every Friday and Saturday from 3pm–9pm, and Sunday from 12pm–8pm, between September 18 and October 4, Eat Street’s Kombi Alley will be open for drive-through sweet treats, with all the decadent desserts you know and love able to be ordered from the comfort of your car. Think Jake & Ellie’s famous cannoli, The Doughnut Bar’s doughnut fries topped with soft serve and Kinder Surprise chocolate, Golden Gaytime shakes, cronut cones and more.
You’ll drive in, order your preferred sugar coma-inducing dish and be given a number to collect them from Kombi Alley. While you wait, there’ll be DJs spinning tunes to keep you entertained—kudos if you can pump out some dance moves in your car.
Park up and eat your goodies before they melt or take them home to binge in private—just know that you won’t be able to get out of your car at the event. We know it’s not quite the same as your usual Eat Street visit, but hey, we’ll take it—especially if it means getting our hands on those doughnut fries.
When: Every Friday and Saturday, 3pm–9pm, and Sunday, 12pm–8pm, between September 18 and October 4
Where: Eat Street, Northshore
