Normally at around this time of year we’d be testing out the waistbands on our stretchiest pants in preparation for bulk honey puff eating at Paniyiri. But with the festival cancelled due to the current pandemic, there was a glaring hole in our annual calendars—until now.
Chez Nous Corporate, one of Brisbane’s top catering companies, is holding a mini Greek festival this Friday at The Joinery in West End, with a dedicated ‘Honey Puff Hour’ happening from 10am-1pm. Of course, it’s not REALLY festival, just a pop-up kitchen where you can pick up pre-ordered honey puffs, as well as other epic Greek feeds, but honestly we’ll take it (I haven’t left the house in four days, send help).
In order to get your hands on these sticky, delectable goodies, you’ll have to pre-order yourself a plate by emailing or calling Chez Nous Corporate, so they can ensure that the pop-up doesn’t accidentally turn into an actual festival. A large takeaway plate will set you back just $9 and will come served piping hot and ready to devour—excuse us while we order five.
While you’re putting in your order here, you can also scope out the other Greek foods the team will be dishing up. Celebrating their rich Greek heritage, Chez Nous will be making use of their family recipes to cook up souvlaki kits, moussaka, pastitsio and other Greek desserts like baklava and galaktoboureko (don’t try to pronounce it, just order a plate) to take home and dig into for dinner.
Drooling? We sure are. Head to the Chez Nous Corporate website to see the menu and find out how to order, and prep those stretchy pants for Friday.
