Gypsy jazz, or as it's sometimes known, hot club jazz, is one music style that's sure to inject some sizzle into your evening, and this month, the folks at Moda are getting into the spirit and inviting you to kick the weekend off with some gypsy-inspired Friday night fun.
On Friday the 12th, 19th and 26th of July, you can relax to the smooth sound of a live gypsy jazz band and enjoy a tapas-style feast (and a complimentary glass of Manzana Verde, when you book ahead).
The Javier's Table menu, created on the day by executive chef, Javier Codina, is three courses served as multiple dishes, for sharing the Catalan way. This decadent feast is only $85 per person.
Or you can bring a compadre and order the tapas share plate for two, with six dishes for only $45 per person. Team these gypsy-inspired offerings with Moda's impressive wine collection and you're looking at great night out.
If you're not enticed by this offer of tapas feasting, you can always opt for the a la carte menu, but you'll have to choose between confit duck and chorizo cazuela, beef cheek and horseradish mash, and wild hare with persimmon, among other highly tempting options. (It's going to be tough.)
In the heart of CBD, Moda has a longstanding reputation as one of Brisbane's finest dining rooms and Chef, Javier Codina personally visits the produce markets to create new dishes daily using only the freshest ingredients.
We recommend you head to Moda this month, indulge in some share plate action, and celebrate the start of the weekend in gypsy style. Click here for more information on this Friday feast and other great winter specials in the CBD.
