How many courses of pasta is too many? Two? Four? If your answer is ‘The limit does not exist’ (we agree), then we’ve found just the pasta menu for you—Otto’s winter offering of a pasta degustation featuring no less than five courses of perfectly al dente carb loading.
Available for eating away your seasonal depression throughout July and August, the five course menu features pasta in all shapes and sizes, from pumpkin and ricotta-filled cappellacci with red claw yabbies and burnt butter to bow-tied farfelle in a braised veal shin and chilli Napolitana sauce. There’s even a dessert pasta to finish things off. Yes, you read that right, dessert pasta. Italian nonnas may be turning in their graves, but we are 100 per cent behind this ricotta gnocchi with lemon curd and strawberries.
The full five courses will set you back $120 or $195 with matched wines. It’s available for lunch and dinner, but booking for a sneaky work day lunch isn’t recommended—if only because of the impending food coma you’re bound to fall in to once it’s over.
