Fans of Philip Johnson's burger pop up will be royally stoked to hear that Howzat are opening their doors permanently on Adelaide Street today with a more substantial offering.
Now open four days a week, Howzat has quickly earned a reputation for quality, and their burgers are a far cry from your run of the mill varieties. These gourmet burgers include the Mexican Wave with roasted pork belly, slaw and chipotle mayo; The Don, which marries grain-fed beef, aioli and cheddar cheese; and a tasty vegetarian burger, with a chickpea patty, shredded beets, cucumber and mint yoghurt.
Better yet, the burgers are all $10, with $5 sides to accompany (fries with chilli and herb salt, a classic slaw with chipotle mayo, and beer battered onion rings). They also serve beer, wine, and milkshakes. Sounds like lunch?
Howzat is open from 10:30am to 3pm in the e'cco bar under e'cco Bistro on Adelaide Street.
