Big news, guys. Two of our favourites are teaming up for a pretty sweet collab. PUMA and Polaroid are set to drop their much-anticipated sneaker pack on September 8.
The PUMA x Polaroid collab is coming along at a pretty interesting time. Both brands are going through a bit of a cultural resurgence. PUMA just launched their latest RS-0, a reboot of their classic 80’s Running System line, and Polaroid is currently riding the wave of photography reinvention.
This collab is all about Polaroid's 80-year history. Obviously, their heritage is grounded in instant photography, but the brand continues to innovate and create new technologies to deliver instant gratification.
Let’s get into the sneaker details. The RS-0 Polaroid sneaker is inspired by the game-changing Polaroid OneStep instant camera. Features include a premium white leather upper, micro-perf vents, 6mm flat, reflective laces and the iconic Polaroid Color Spectrum graphic on the heel. Sweet.
The RS-100 Polaroid sneaker, on the other hand, reimagines the 80’s RS-100 model with subtle hints of photography. The RS-100 is the OG silhouette and stays true to the retro style classic Polaroid hues—think colour-blocked suede and leather overlays, plus reflective detailing that plays on the iconic ‘flash’ from taking a Polaroid picture.
Both shoes feature PUMA x Polaroid branding on the tongue label and also include a miniature Polaroid instant photo with co-branding as a hangtag. Nice little touch.
The RS-0 Polaroid and RS-100 Polaroid drop globally at PUMA.com, PUMA stores and leading sneaker and lifestyle stores on September 8. Get your bodies ready.
