If 6am on a Saturday morning normally finds you in a deep, open-mouthed slumber following a couple too many dranks the night before, here’s your chance to do something a little more meaningful (and fun) with those sunrise hours.
The Function Well Fringe Festival is returning for another year, providing a morning mini-shindig of wellness and good vibes. With upbeat, music-based Zenley yoga at sunrise, brekkie food trucks from Miss Bliss and Tatty’s Superfoods, entertainment by Circa, kids’ face painting, bouncy castles, auctions and more, it’s only $5 entry which also includes an (absolutely essential) Di Bella coffee.
The festival is a fundraising event for locals Susie, Emma and Josh Warner who very sadly recently lost a husband and dad, Steve, to brain cancer. It’s a little-known but totally overwhelming fact that one Aussie is diagnosed with brain cancer every six hours, so as well as helping the Warners, the event’s also about increasing awareness of this devastating disease.
So round up the troops, BYO mats, and make next Saturday morning count!
