Yum Yum Gyoza House

It's a well-known fact that we're partial to a dumpling  here at The Urban List (we've written about them in all of their glorious forms, here, here and here…), so when hole-in-the-wall Yum Yum Gyoza Bar opened recently, we were in pan-fried parcel heaven.

For this little vegetarian, who is so often disappointed when a check of the menu reveals the only gyoza on offer are filled with pork, there's plenty of veggo options, as well as plenty of choice if you (gasp!) don't like gyoza. If you do, in which case we can still be friends, there's also pork, chicken, and prawn varieties. If you're of the gluten-free persuasion, you'll also find plenty of options from the authentic offering.

The dumpling is the official poster child of the quick, cheap, and easy meal, and Yum Yum Gyoza House doesn't disappoint. At only $5 for a plate of 5 dumplings, it's the perfect snack after an early movie or for a bite mid shopping adventure on Oxford Street.

There's not a lot of seating, so try and nab a spot overlooking the kitchen, where you can watch the chefs at work. If there are no spots, grab a takeaway and walk on down to the park.

We'll also be adding it to our late night dining round up, with Yum Yum Gyoza House open until 10.30pm, 7 days a week.

Yum (Yum).
