After purchasing Paddock Bakery from her brother Ben Watts and sister-in-law Ursula in 2017, Chloe Watts and her parents not only managed to uphold the high bar set for food and service, they grew Paddock into a true destination cafe.
Adding the milk bar and upstairs loft space, while continually delivering memorable baked treat after treat to our Insta feed, Paddock is adored far and wide.
After two years of seriously hard work and reward, Chloe has just confirmed Paddock Bakery is now in the secure hands of a young family of excited new owners.
“We’ve had an incredible journey and it took us over two years to complete the final vision of Paddock. Now it’s time for me to bring another unique and exciting destination to the Gold Coast, in the very near future,” Chloe explains.
While reports are unconfirmed and details are scarce, whispers have started to swirl that a new destination cafe project is in the works for Chloe Watts in 2020, one that she’ll be creating from scratch. Oh the possibilities!
Forgive us for leaving you hanging, but we trust that whatever magic is brewing—it will be epic.
In the meantime, get down to your much-loved Paddock Bakery and show the new owners your full support—or those crème brulee doughnuts and Lindt chocolate brownies will get snapped up by someone else.
