Walk On Water With A Stand-up Paddle Boarding Excursion

Stand-up paddle boarding took the waterborne world by storm in recent years, mostly because it’s so damn accessible (even your mum could do it!) and makes exploring waterways effortless, while still working on your tan. Here on the Gold Coast we are spoilt for choice, especially if you add in the endless network of canals that spider web through the inner suburbs. To get you off the couch and among those salty sea breezes, let us guide you to four of the best places to SUP on the Gold Coast here, including dreamy Tallebudgera Creek and the Caribbean-like waters of Cudgen Creek.

Get On Your Bike With The Coast’s Most Beautiful Cycling Trails

If you found yourself hibernating over the cooler months and were slow to get moving in spring, we know exactly what you need to enjoy the beauty of a GC summer…it’s time to jump back on your bike. Whether Lycra is your favourite outfit, you’re after a leisurely cruise with the fam or the last memory you have of yourself on a bike was with training wheels, we’ve got you covered with the most scenic bike rides on the Gold Coast here.

Aside from the jaw-dropping beaches, you'll be snorkelling with turtles! Go on a snorkelling tour to get a complete view of the island's fish, reef, coral and turtles. Use Muscles You Didn’t Know You Had When You Try Bouldering

When it comes to keeping fit, there’s no denying us locals love a bit of adventure. Break your gym rut or get indoors when the summer storms arrive at Alpine Indoor Climbing, the Coast’s premier dedicated bouldering gym. Bouldering differs to ‘rock climbing’ per se, it’s like rock climbing, but without the ropes and harness. But don’t let that scare you off, Alpine Indoor Climbing have a range of gradient walls from beginner gentle to expert hard-core and crash pads surround the entire thing so, you’re all good when your fingers and forearms throw in the towel. They offer both learn to climb and intense bouldering training sessions that will see your upper body strength, endurance and agility put to the test.

We’ve rounded up the best spots you can learn to surf on the Gold Coast, so you can finally ditch the boogie board, don the rashie and rack up boatloads of street cred.
