And just like that, we've reached November, the breather month before the craziness of Christmas kicks in. If you ask us, it's actually the best time of the year. The weather is perfect, the days are getting longer and there's always a bunch of awesome Gold Coast events to attend. 

Diaries at the ready, these are the best things to do on the Gold Coast this November. 

By The Way Party At Hyde Paradiso

The party host extraordinaires from Together Agency, behind many of the Coast’s hottest events, are bringing their party-vibes this November for the inaugural By The Way spring soiree. If Hyde Paradiso’s seaside setting isn’t epic enough, your all-inclusive ticket will give access to one super sexy afternoon with 100 or so of your new best friends (eye-candy guaranteed). Plus, live bands and DJ tunes; pop-up cocktail bars; roving entertainers including contortionists, bird handlers, magicians, stilt walkers; Ciroc Vodka sponsor giveaways and, the most important part, four solid hours of flowing premium food and drinks.

Melbourne Cup Luncheons And Events

The Melbourne Cup is sweeping its way back around and this year our options for lunching bliss and midday bubbles are endless. Ladies grab your cocktail dress and fellas dust off your suit, we’ve rounded up the best Melbourne Cup parties on the Gold Coast. From glamourous oceanside soirees at The Tropic and Rick Shores, to rooftop revelries at The Island’s new Glasshouse Pavilion, vibing parties to sit-down affairs, you’d best be booking that RDO now.

The Green Marquee Eco Twilight Markets

At The Green Marquee Eco Twilight Markets, expect all the feel-good community vibes as you wander around market stalls adorned with handmade jewellery, textiles, ceramics, vegan skincare, hanging plants and pre-loved clothing. Plus, you’ll also find delish food trucks, live music to get you grooving, fresh produce from Ground Grocer, coffee and cakes from Pasture & Co., activities for the kids, and local tipples from Black Hops, Balter and Ink Gin for the adults. BYO picnic blanket and settle in for one of our favourite Gold Coast markets.

Brewing Local Artists At Burleigh Brewing Co.

An initiative of Burleigh Brewing Co., Brewing Local Artists will see 16 artists exhibiting unique artworks inside the brewhouse. To progress the future of two emerging local artists, up for grabs is a $2000 cash prize for the People’s Choice Award and $3000 for the Judge’s Choice Award, so get along and make your vote count. Entry is free and all are invited to enjoy live art, live music, gourmet noms from Eats by Oak and, of course, Burleigh Brewing’s world class craft beer.

Meet The Maker Dinner At The Tropic

The Tropic’s intimate Meet the Maker series finishes with a glass of bubbly in hand for an exploration of champagne and seafood. Champagne is handpicked from the new Moët 2012 vintage with guests being the first on the Gold Coast to experience both Moët and Moët rosé. Enjoy a four-course seafood feast designed by Guillaume Zika, with a menu that takes you on an oceanic journey with poached oysters paired with NV Moët et Chandon; the sea tart served with 2012 Moët et Chandon; seared king prawn with 2012 Moët et Chandon rosé; and confit swordfish and the NV Veuve Clicquot rosé to finish. Cleanse the palate with a glass of Moët ICE Imperial rosé while you take in the panoramic views of Burleigh Beach. Sounds like heaven, don’t you think?

Bella Sicilia Night At Gemelli Italian Broadbeach 

Our favourite Italian brothers have returned from a month in the foodie paradise of Sicily, inspired and ready to share the wonderful delights they experienced via an exclusive event—Bella Sicilia. Expect an intimate night based around Sicilian food, wine, culture and music. Think: waiters in long white aprons, bow ties, grand piano, free flowing Sicilian wines and a quality seafood-driven menu of four courses. Your ticket includes matching wines, beautiful fresh Sicilian food, Sicilian beers and they’ve even brought back some incredible Sicilian gin to share on the night. The Jungle Collective Indoor Plant Warehouse Sale

Originating in the achingly cool suburbs of Melbourne, the time has come for the Gold Coast to get a taste of the green juggernaut that is The Jungle Collective. If you haven’t heard of these guys, they’re famous across the nation for stuffing warehouses with plants and then selling them for cheap. We’re talking over 150 species including Fiddle Leaf, Giant Birds of Paradise, Mother in Law's Tongue, ferns, hanging plants, String of Pearls, Bangalow palms, Kentia palms—the list goes on. Due to their enormous popularity, a ticket is essential with free registrations available from midday on Monday 18 November via the event page.

Mussel Festival At Miami Marketta

Miami Marketta's mammoth mussel-eating festival is returning faster than we can say "Kilpatrick!" Teaming up The Good Food Catering Co., your favourite twilight market is throwing one massive day of all-you-can-eat mussels. Just let that sink in for a second... The Mussel Festival is dedicated to the new season of freshly-sourced mussels, featuring your appetite and the finest molluscs this country can offer. Tickets to the event gives you access to a never-ending supply of mussels, so bring an empty stomach. 

When: Sunday 24 November; 12pm to 3pm

Outdoor Cinema At Burleigh Brewing Co.

Not content with simply serving up some of the Coast’s most epic brews, Burleigh Brewing Co. is back with their outdoor cinema. That’s right, beers and blockbusters all under the night sky. So, throw back some of their ice-cold brews, a bucket of popcorn and relax in their deck chairs while watching a flick. This month it’s a throwback to the 90s—She’s All That.

SandTunes Music Festival

Rounding out the best Gold Coast events this November is a new guest to the festival scene—SandTunes Music Festival. The Gold Coast's newest and hottest music event features some pretty massive names. In his first ever Australian show, rapper Logic will be hitting our shores to put on an unmissable performance. Close behind him is the one and only Travis Scott who needs no introduction, following a blockbuster lineup of CHVRCHES, Carly Rae Jepsen, Sampa The Great, Tkay Maidza and many more.

When: Saturday 30 November and Sunday 1 December 
Where: Metricon Stadium, Nerang Broadbeach Road, Cararra
