In big news for a small country town, Yandina is getting an incredible Art Deco-style Belgian bar very soon.

Opening in March, Bar Deco – Belgian Beer and Wine Garden has dished us up a few sneak peeks and it’s looking pretty special.

With custom-made royal blue booths—perfect for those romantic rendezvous—a beer garden that’s going to be the place to catch up with your mates, ambient lighting, gold trimmings, and a fully-stocked bar that’s almost ready to serve you all of the Belgian beers you desire, we’re expecting big things from this niche, but far from cliché, watering hole.

Along with keeping thirsts quenched with six Belgian beers on tap and French and Italian wines, Bar Deco will have a full restaurant menu to stave off hunger. There will be an emphasis on making food with the beer they sell, so you can expect European-style dishes like Belgian beef stew with Belgian dark ale.

But what we’re most excited about are the beer snacks. In Belgium, it’s a normal thing to give complimentary snacks with certain beers, so this Sunshine Coast newbie plans on doing the same. So, should you choose to order a traditional golden ale, chances are you’ll gain a side of fetta cheese with that. Or, if you choose to swap the beer for a coffee, you’ll probably see some golden waffle squares side-saddling your cup of joe.

Bar Deco plans to begin with weekend trading only, open from 11am until late, on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but for now, we must wait.

With an official opening date yet to be set, we’ll be giving you all the details as soon as we know more.

In the meantime, check out Noosa's newest brewery here
