There’s never been a better time to visit the Tweed Coast and marvel at the beauty in our own backyard. Besides stellar beaches and lush mountain hikes (hello, Wollumbin!), there’s so much more to love about this wonderful region, like all the farmers who fill our plates with gorgeous food and the artisans who fill our shelves with must-have products.
At the end of November, the Tweed region is hosting yet another stunning installment of the Tweed Artisan Food Weekend, and we strongly encourage you to partake if you can.
Tweed Artisan Food Weekend is an unforgettable weekend of curated events, celebrating the fertile farming region that supplies so many of our markets and eateries.
For those chasing a hands-on foodie experience, there’s an amazing pasta-making class with sunset drinks, or you can take a more relaxed route and enjoy a long, sit-down lunch courtesy of Mavis’ Kitchen.
There’s also a seafood and cocktail soiree at Tropical Fruit World you won’t want to be a designated driver for, or you can jump on a Trawler-To-Plate-Seafood Cruise—a rainforest river cruise that begins with a trawler to platter seafood lunch and ends with a brewery and a distillery tour.
From bakers to makers and creators, this three-day event is the perfect way to rediscover the thriving food bowl that is the Tweed. Just don’t be surprised if you walk away making plans for a move south across the border.
