Sometimes you just need a holiday. Trust us, we can relate. We just so happen to live in a pretty cool country, that also happens to be pretty darn beautiful. The best way to get out there and appreciate the beauty is to bunker down, treat yo’ self and get your stay-cay on. If you’ve got a special occasion coming up, or just want to spend some time with a special someone then boy oh boy, do we have some pretty epic stay-cays to get around this summer.

But where?! Don’t fret, pet. We’ve teamed up with Spicers Retreats to put together a list of the very best stay cays to check out this Summer when you’re feeling fancy.

Spicers Sangoma Retreat

If you’re based in Sydney, you’ll probably think we’re fibbing when we tell you Spicers Sangoma Retreat is just over an hour away. But, honestly, it is. And you’re going to want to hot foot it to Sangoma quick smart once you find out what it’s all about. Sangoma is Zulu for healing and believe us, you’ll be doing a lot of healing here. With the option to stay in an ultra-luxe tent-like glamping suite, or just full on, next-level luxe suites with 360 vistas, you’ll feel like royalty. Plus, with a delicious restaurant and bar on site, an ultra-luxe spa, walking trails and heaps of activity, you certainly won’t be bored at Sangoma.

Spicers Tamarind

Brisbanites need a good ol’ stay cay too. Spicers Tamarind’s rainforest location is most likely the stay-cay you’ve been wishing for. The rainforest setting has obvious Asian references, rainforest hideaways, cedar hot tubs, aqua-blue pools and all of the activities you could ever want. Gosh, you can even chase waterfalls at the nearby Gardener falls. Or, try your hand at cooking at Tamarind’s cooking school. If the whole ‘being active’ thing isn’t how you like to spend your holidays, then don’t fret—there’s a spa, too.

Spicers Clovelly Estate

If you’re up for a trip to Europe, sans the trip to Europe, then Spicers Clovelly Estate is the stay-cay for you. Set amongst the beauty of the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Clovelly Estate feels like a dream. Shaded in jacarandas and fig trees, the French-provincial inspired setting is calling you. The case for staying in Brisbane isn’t really helped by the fact that The Long Apron restaurant is damn delicious, and you'll definitely enter food Nirvana. Did we mention it's two hatted?!

Spicers Peak Lodge

Spicers Peak Lodge is the perfect getaway for those times when you want to go bush, but you also want to be super indulgent. The retreat is actually set atop a mountain in QLD’s breathtaking scenic rim—1,200m above sea-level, mind you! As well as all the usual Spicers trimmings we know and love (Spa Anise, for a start), tuck into first-class dining, hikes and bike riding in pristine bushland and even a space to land your helicopter (if that’s how you like to roll).

Spicers Hidden Vale

Spicers Hidden Vale ignites all of our country gal fantasies. Set on a homestead less than an hour from Brisbane, you’ll never want to leave Hidden Vale. Think decadent luxury meets country charm and you’ll find Hidden Vale somewhere in the middle. Homage, Hidden Vale’s hatted restaurant, is a dining destination in itself. Plus, they do gourmet picnic baskets you can take out with you while you adventure. And there are piglets, OMG!

Spicers Balfour

Little did you know, Brisbane is actually home to an ultra-luxe inner city retreat called Spicers Balfour. Set across two venues, the retreat is pure decadence, complete with hidden roof-top bar and a high tea spread worthy of the queen! The food here is seriously life-changing, too. Order the smoked duck breast and enjoy it in the Frangipani covered courtyard while giving yourself a pat on the back for planning such a fab stay cay for yourself.

Spicers Vineyards Estate

Who doesn't love a wine themed holiday? Make Spicers Vineyards Estate your home in the middle of wine country this Summer with a trip to the Hunter Valley (yep, that's just two hours from Sydney!) Treat yourself to wine tours, discover the Hunter Valley, or kick back in the retreat's very own Spa Anise - all on the Estate's 8 hectares of private vineyard. Plus, Restaurant Botanica dishes up mouth-wateringly good modern Australian fare.

If you’re feeling like a stay-cay now, be sure to check out Spicer’s website to book your stay.
