Kicking off the awards season for 2018 is the 75th Golden Globe Awards. Amid the anticipation of the winners and losers, the designers, and the beauty trends, all eyes at this year’s ceremony will be (predictably) fixed on the red-carpet fashion—but for one notable difference.

For anyone needing to be brought up to speed here, a number of heavy-hitting actresses in Hollywood have formed the activist group, Time’s Up in light of the avalanche of shocking sexual allegations, pay disparity, gender inequality and widespread harassment women from all walks of life face on a daily basis. (They even penned an open letter and published it as a full page in the NY Times.)

Using their immense influence to shine a light on their own industry and for women everywhere that face these injustices, attendees on the night have rallied together, wearing black as a sign of solidarity and protest.

In a post-Weinstein world, this awards season is shaping up to set the political agenda for 2018. And it’s about time.

In the gallery above are our fave Golden Globe attendees who wore black to the Golden Globes 2018. And damn, did they nail the theme…
