Christmas is coming whether you are ready for it or not. We know, we know, January was just yesterday and it simply cannot be the end of 2018 already. But our iCals would beg to differ.
So we’re helping you to get on the front foot this year with some shopping hacks that will totally save you dashing for last minute presents on Christmas Eve (we've all been there.)
With less than a month to go until the big day, it’s time to hop to it. Here’s how to nail your holiday shopping this year.

#1 Valet For The Day
Trying to find a parking spot (especially one undercover so your car doesn’t melt in Brisbane’s summer sun) is no easy task at Christmas time, so we’re letting you in on our little secret for getting your festive shopping expedition off to a good start. Valet at Westfield shopping centres only costs a small amount on top of the regular parking fees, which makes it a no-brainer. Now you can spend more time focussing on more important things, like what to buy for that person who has everything.
#2 Reclaim Your Weekends
We’re not sure about you, but our weekends are booked up until 2019. Thankfully extended trading hours kick off at Westfield shopping centres from Saturday 15 December so you can get your shopping done after work. Late night shopping isn't restricted to just Thursdays, people.
#3 Grab A Backup Gift
Let’s face it, we’re not our mothers and probably don’t have a cheeky gift cupboard yet, which is why the backup gift is essential. You don’t want to get to Christmas Day and realise you’ve forgotten to buy for someone and then have to rifle through your cupboards trying to find a suitable gift. The best bit, if you manage to remember everything you can keep the gift for yourself. Grab something gender neutral (or better yet, a voucher) and check this one off your list quick smart.
#4 Accept Help
Gift wrapping—nobody's got time for that. Instead, hand over a few gold coins (for charity) to the gift wrapping masters and have them do the hard work for you. Not only will everyone be super impressed with 'your' wrapping skills, organisations in need will be a little bit richer and you’ll save time. Win, win, win!
#5 Remember Your Christmas Party Outfit
Just because our weather is sadly not appropriate for ugly Christmas sweaters (sigh) doesn’t mean we have to miss out on the fun of getting dressed up in festive gear. Grab a pun-tastic Christmas t-shirt (or something more stylish if that’s your bag) and get ready to slay your buddies at the Christmas party outfit game.
#6 Food Fixes Everything
Whether it’s a gift for the person who has everything, or it helps you get through another three hours of shopping, food is the answer to just about any woe. Grab a sugar hit from Le Bon Choix or a Japanese fix from Motto Motto. As for a gift, grab a voucher from somewhere just that little bit fancy will make you the ultimate Secret Santa.
#7 Spend And Save On Parking
How does free parking sound after spending a whole lot of moolah on other people? Parking is free under three hours, but if you stay a little longer, just spend $200 and you’ll score a free park on Westfield. Now that’s a Christmas miracle.
