The food truck revolution has hit Brisbane hard, and when it comes to things to do in Brisbane, chasing the growing fleet of drool-inducing, four-wheeled goodness around town is, without question, our idea of an evening well spent.
So when Westfield Chermside told us about their Food Van Jam event — a massive food truck meet up with some of Brisbane's best food trucks in attendance — we knew we were onto one of the best things to do in Brisbane this week, food-covered hands down.
Come this Friday (just in time for weekend knock-offs) 12 of Brisbane's best food trucks will be rolling to a delicious stop in the Nando's carpark at Westfield Chermside Shopping Centre (off Gympie Road) for one, very yummy night.
From 4–11pm this casual food feast slash block party will be home to TUL faves King of The Wings, Oi! Taco, Pizzantica, That BBQ Joint, and Vira Lata, plus other mainstays of the Brisbane mobile food scene Local, Chocolate Komberry Co., Fire N Dough, Fiery Deli, The Kai Kart, Thumbs Up Hotdogs and Mark Daniels Patisserie. Hello, food coma!
While you stuff your belly to bursting point at the Food Van Jam, grab a pint in the Chermside Tavern bar area, watch the Broncos v. Storm game on the big screen, or, wait for it… take your four-legged friend to frolic at the Bow Wow Chow Treat Bar!
Entry is free and it's all ages welcome, so get your crew together, tuck in those bibs, and get your glutton on at this epic food truck event!
