Gelato Messina is Coming to Queensland!

Get excited. The very first Queensland Gelato Messina store is opening its doors this February at Cooloongatta Beach on the Gold Coast.

Set to be positioned directly across from the beach, the new Gelato Messina Gold Coast venture will be housed in The Strand, which is currently undergoing a $60 million dollar redevelopment. Messina will be in good company in the new plaza, neighbouring hatted restaurants and boutiques, making this an essential stop on any Gold Coast excursions. (Though, truth be told, we'd make the trip for the gelato alone.)

With five stores in Sydney and one in Melbourne, Messina's following in each state can only be described as cult-like — lines out the doors are not only common place but should be expected if you want to score a scoop of this deliciousness. This is Gelato Messina's first foray into the sunshine state, and we for one are stoked they've decided to make the move.

Like its southern brothers, the Gold Coast Gelato Messina store will be serving up their signature, hand-crafted, 40-flavour strong selection of gelato. Not only is their gelato churned on site, but Gelato Messina also make all their gelato additions, like apple pie and tiramisu, in store as well.
