BRB, There’s An Art & Wine Masterclass Coming To Brisbane

Remember when we told you that you can bring your dog to the American Express Openair Cinemas on the Gold Coast this spring?

Well, that same cinema is throwing some crazy cool events that you seriously need to sign yourself up for, including masterclasses that involve art and wine—best!

If you’re a craft-addict, you might like to know that your chance to watch movies and learn the Insta-worthy art of making macramé is here. Join Emilia from Mo’s Desert Clubhouse at a masterclass where you’ll discover all there is to know about this ancient craft while sipping on wine. The best bit? You get to take your very own wall hanging home with you.

But that’s not all you can get up to at the Openair Cinemas—there’s also going to be a Pimp-A-Pineapple masterclass! Just like Pimp My Ride, you can bedazzle your very own Queensland pineapple ready to present it in pride of place on your dining table. The American’s have Halloween and pumpkin carving and we have movies and pineapple pimping—let’s just say we know where we’d rather live (hint: right here). And continuing on with those tropical vibes there's also going to be an hour long masterclass on lei making where you'll learn how to make your very own flower crown using seasonal blooms.

By now your house is going to be looking pretty sweet, what with a pimped pineapple on display and macramé art hanging on your wall, so all that’s left to do is sit back and enjoy a flick with some delicious nosh and bevvies, of course. We're hanging out to see The Big Sick, Flatliners and The Emoji Movie (obvs).
