A renowned American hospitality brand to the stars is set to launch their first Australian venue in our very own backyard.

Hospitality legends, Hyde, are known for producing epic party venues in Los Angeles, Miami and Vegas, with everyone from the Kardashians to Jennifer Lopez  as regular patrons.

The new venue, Hyde Paradiso, is setting up shop at Peppers Soul in Surfers Paradise, taking over the space formerly occupied by Seaduction. Which means incredible coastal views.

Set to open later this month, we’re told Hyde Paradiso will have a playful Mediterranean décor. Think a blue, white and peach colour scheme, combining traditional Italian materials such as terrazzos and mosaic with light timbers, coastal whites and earthy neutrals.

“The design of this restaurant and lounge conjures happy holiday memories spent beachside as guests look out to 180-degree views of Surfers Paradise beach,” says Hyde Paradiso designer Carlie Milosevic, who was also responsible for Sydney’s achingly cool bar Hacienda.

At the impressive 12-metre bar, drinks will take their cue from the beachside lifestyle. Tim Philips Johansson, of Sweet&Chilli has curated a creative drinks list, including what will be their signature tipple, the Top of the Town Punch—it serves 10 so bring your mates.

The food philosophy here will embrace the culture of sharing, with Executive Chef Joel Bryant, formerly of Oskars, producing a fresh, moreish menu. Inspired by Bryant’s travels, the dishes will reflect the bold flavours of Greek, Turkish, Italian and Moroccan cuisines.

Drawing on local and seasonal produce, Bryant’s shared table will feature, plant-based salads and freshly made dips, including his twist on traditional taramosalata, as well as spanakopita, sumac squid and heirloom tomato with whipped fetta.

Hyde Paradiso is set to be the perfect spot for Sunday sessions and long lunches that lead into dinner with live DJs setting the mood. If you’re after a European summer escape but can’t afford the airfare, then this is the place for you.

We’ll be back soon for a sneak peek inside.
