Australia Day events on the Gold Coast

Gold Coast’s summer is far from over. And this year’s true blue Australia Day events are here to celebrate the mateship of all Australians, raise funds for ripper causes and bring together sheilas and top blokes alike.

Dust off your thongs, gather up your mates and sink your teeth into a sausage sanga with this cracker lineup of things to do on the Gold Coast this Australia Day long weekend.

The mateship that accompanies clinking cold brews goes hand in hand with Australia Day on the Gold Coast. And this year’s GABS (Great Australasian Beer Spectapular) ticks all our boxes. Counting down the hottest 100 craft beers of 2019 (vote for your top picks here), Black Hops is throwing a jam-packed day of tunes, damn tasty food trucks, giveaways and a brand new beer release. Be the first to know (and taste) by heading along from midday to either of their two breweries in Burleigh Heads and Biggera Waters. How high will their much-loved Pale Ale rank this year?

gabs hottest 100 Craft Beer Countdown at balter BREWERY

It will be one action-packed day this Saturday at Balter HQ’s GABS Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beer Countdown. Celebrating both Triple J’s song of the year reveal, along with the results of the GABS Hottest 100, we recommend pulling up a stool at this top Gold Coast brewery. Last year Balter took out the top gong for Australia’s favourite beer, so we predict the frothies will again be flowing freely with plenty of nail biting as they reach the pointy end of the countdown.
