Hype Up, TYGA Is Headlining This Epic Gold Coast Music Festival

Forget nominating a DD to ship you and your crew down to Byron so you can catch international superstars perform, because the Gold Coast just scored the most epic music festival ever!

The Grass Is Greener, which gained a cult-like following up in far North Queensland over the past five years, is making the move down south and we’re pumped.

Boasting previous headliners like British India, Ocean Alley and The Jungle Giants, these guys know how to put on a seriously good show. But we think they’ve saved the best for the Gold Coast with Urban List able to exclusively reveal the world’s most talked about rapper right now – TYGA. The American rapper will be taking to the stage on Saturday 19 October.

Fresh off a huge album release last week, TYGA joins a strong contingent of Aussie talent including Amy Shark, Hermitude, Peking Duk, Golden Features, The Veronicas, plus loads more.

Festival co-founder and GC local Oli Frost says, “For us, our name pokes fun at the age-old saying, ‘The Grass is Greener on the other side’, a saying implying that things would be better somewhere else. Instead, TGIG is committed to supporting local talent in our very own backyard, to prove the grass is plenty green on the Gold Coast and in far North Queensland.”

The festival will take place on the sun-soaked grounds of the Broadwater Parklands on the Gold Coast before heading to The Cairns Showgrounds on 26 October.

Presale tickets are available here starting at $99. With a line-up this good, it’s probably best to get in early so you don’t miss out.
