It’s officially October, which means it’s time to make like our Mexican amigos and celebrate the Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, a day dedicated to commemorating your nearest and dearest departed in the most festive way possible. The Mexicans honour the deceased by celebrating life at vibrant festivities all over the country and with a brand so rich in storied Mexico, Espolòn TEQUILA is taking the opportunity this year to celebrate the traditional Mexican holiday.
This October there’ll be more eating, drinking, and dancing than you can poke a festively painted skull at, and we can’t wait! Our mates over at Espolón TEQUILA are organising the parties of the year, and they want you to celebrate in true Mexican style. But how? We’re glad you asked. There will be epic parties thrown at some of the best bars in Perth with Espolón drink specials, DJs, delicious cocktails, plenty of Mexican food, face painting, live art installations and photo booths so you can remember your night forever.
Are you ready to celebrate living? Here’s where to do it…
No Dia de Los Muertos celebration would be complete without traditionally painted skulls as far as the eye can see, and that’s what you’ll get when you head to Arcade for the night of your life. There will be face painters as well, so you don’t have to stress about messing it up at home. Or in the bathroom after you’ve had a few of the delicious Espolón margaritas on offer! Now that you’re sorted with a fab look and drinks, go dance the night away to the awesome DJs.
Friday 30th October
Jack Rabbit Slim's
If there’s anything Jack Rabbit Slim's know how to do well, it’s live music and thumping good times. Team these with an epic DOTD party and you’ve got yourself a night to remember. Be sure to partake in the delicious foodie specials on the evening with your Espolón cocktails, they’re worth pausing your boogie to chow down on.
Saturday 31st October
Who better to host an unforgettable Day of the Dead party than the home of some of Perth’s best Mexican food? Don’t let the drive deter you if you’re not a local, use this as an excuse to head to Margaret River for the night of your life at El Rio. And do it properly: get dressed up, have your make-up done, get some snaps in the photo booth and live like it’s your last day on earth.
