Anyone else ready for some funsies this weekend? We’ve got a super trendy office party, some fashion, a street party or two and even some super cute markets for your weekend pleasure.

Friday 27 November


Can we all please give Terrace Events a premature round of applause for bringing back Perth’s Biggest Office Party this Fri-yay! We need you to holla at us if you’re down for pop-up bars, cocktails, champagne, jazz bands and DJ’s. Yasss. Head down to QV1 after work and kick off your weekend with all of that, plus runway shows, art exhibitions, pop-up restaurants and heaps more. Make sure you dress ‘corporate with a little class’ to gain entry and boogie the night away.

You’ll be wishing you chose a different career path when you see the some amazing dancers this weekend at Fremantle Arts Centre. In Short—In Situ is an amazing show in which professional dancers perform five short dance works that are displayed throughout the corners and wide open spaces of the arts centre. Smooth moves created by Western Australian choreographers are inspired by the unique architecture and beauty of Fremantle. Even though this is the fourth instalment of the show, it's never too late to watch this contemporary classic.

Get on down to The Claremont Hotel on Friday for some fashion, cocktails and live music all night long. The Spring On The Terrace Fashion Series allows three of the newest and latest WA designers to showcase their work. Wares from Ela & Jackson, Bojana Petrovich and Teagan Jacobs will be on the runway and we are keen as a bean to see what they’ve got in store for us. It's free entry so make sure you get down quick to jag a spot in the front row.

Put your game face on friends…the games festival is backkkk! Both floors of Perth Town Hall will be taken over by the gaming lords of our community—we’re talking about the super geeks, the newly transformed nerds and the vintage gaming lovers that have been around for decades. There will be PC, mobile games, board games, card games and home-made arcade games on show this Saturday. Plus for those of you who are interested in inventing your own games, you will have the opportunity to meet developers, listen in on discussions and participate in workshops. It may not be your regular weekend activity but it will sure be a cool one!

The WA Etsy Street Team is in action this weekend and they are preparing to bring you the coolest markets in all the land. Staring at 10am, the courtyard of the State Theatre of WA will light up with over 50 market stalls, craft workshops, live music, food and drink. That's your Christmas shopping sorted then!

It’s the holy grail of green veggies, the base to our guacamole, the healthy version to our cakes, the partner to our vegemite on toast and the foundation of our face masks…it’s avocado! The folks down at Araluen Botanic Park obviously share our love for this green veggie and have decided to throw a festival in its honour. We’re talking fresh produce, avo dishes and skin and beauty products for sale as well as other food and beverage choices on offer. We are so there.

Vic park resident rejoice—you’ve got a street partay coming your way and it's gonna be rad!  This day will be filled with food, wine, beer and all of the usual street festival fun and games. Finish off your crazy weekend with an insanely chilled out gig at Perth’s Urban Orchard this Sunday. Netherlands-raised, Australian-based indie and folk artist WAFIA will be performing a live and intimate show for all you smooth criminals. Join some other friendly folk under the Perth city stars and enjoy some good food, good company, amazing music and even better vibes. The perfect way to prepare yourself for work on Monday is to forget about it all together right?

MANIFEST is an underground music and arts festival held every year, over two venues in the cultural hub of Perth. Leederville venues Babushka Leederville and The Good Shepherd will be your hosts for this fine Sunday evening and will be host to some local bands, vintage clothing, records and heaps more. No excuses this weekend peeps…get out of the house and head down to Leedy for a chilled out Sundee.
