If you had planned to do nothing this weekend, think again! Perth is serving up some killer events all weekend long. There’s plenty of fashion, photography, food, films and funnies to be had by all.

Get out your diaries you guys, here’s what’s on this weekend in Perth.

Friday 18 September

PRELIGHT | SUBIACO

Catch the launch of the Prelight photography exhibition at Apropos Provisional in Subiaco. Featuring work from up-and-coming Perth photographers, Laurence Watts, Lewis Rodan and Robbie Partington, Prelight will run until 2 October 2015.

MEET THE DESIGNER | AKIRA ISOGAWA | CLAREMONT

The Telstra Perth Fashion Festival is happening as you read this and to celebrate we think all fashionistas should skiddaddle down to Claremont Quarter tomorrow night to catch Meet The Designer with celebrated Aussie fashion designer Akira Isogawa. The event will be hosted by fashion writer and stylist, Elizabeth Clarke, and will feature live music from the Perth Symphony Orchestra.

THE RUBENS | HOOPS NATIONAL TOUR | MOUNT LAWLEY

Kicking off their Hoops national tour in our lovely state (Go Perth!), The Rubens will take to the stage at The Astor tomorrow night. With an album designed to be performed live, it’s set to be a rockin’ gig!

Saturday 19 September

ROTTOFEST | ROTTNEST

Catch the ferry over to Rotto on Saturday for a barrel of laughs and loads of live music. There are 18 funny people to see, including headline acts Matt Okine (Triple J brekky presenter), Dave Callan, Eddie Ifft and Fiona O’Loughlin. Art Vs Science and Jackie Onassis head up the music crew, as well as a ton of local talent.

Sunday 20 September

BENDY BREAKFAST | FREMANTLE

Kick off Sunday the right way, with a Bendy Breakfast at The Raw Kitchen in Freo. Get downward with a yoga class held my Alex Stokeld and then feast on tasty breakfast treats supplied by Vital Wholefoods, NO Toast, Love Superfood, Mandala Chai and Teassential. You’ll even get an Amazeballs bliss ball!

LITTLE MARKETPLACE IV | FREMANTLE

After the Bendy Breakfast, head over to Fremantle Town Hall for a spot of shopping where local designers, boutiques and sellers of pre-loved clothing have set up shop for Little Marketplace IV. Bring cash money, an eagle eye and your gal pals, and get ready to snap up some killer wares.

All Weekend

TELSTRA PERTH FASHION FESTIVAL | PERTH

The Telstra Perth Fashion Festival has kicked off and this weekend is set to be a flurry of fashion! Catch A Morning with David Downton on Friday or the Akira Spring/Summer 2015 Exhibition on Sunday. There are a ton of free runway events too—we’re looking forward to the Restyle Runways and Melissa Shoes Runway.

KOREAN FILM FESTIVAL | INNALOO

If you’re a big fan of kimchi, bulgogi and bibimbap, you’ll probably want to catch some flicks at the Korean Film Festival which kicks off today at Event Cinema Innaloo. Featuring some of the best films out of Korea, from drama to K-pop, festival highlights include The Admiral: Roaring Currents, Madonna and Cart.

GUILTY PLEASURES WITH LA MAISON KRUG

This weekend is your last chance to catch Guilty Pleasures with La Maison Krug at Must Winebar in Highgate. Uber talented West Aussie chef, Russell Blaikie serves up his take on classic fish and chips with Esperance scallops, a mini-fried potato creation and lime salt—accompanied perfectly by a glass of Krug Grande Cuvée Champagne. Opulent perfection!
