There’s plenty on this weekend for you Perthians! We’ve got food, music, comedians, more food, beer, wine, more beer, a little bit more food and of course some man-ish yoga. Because who doesn’t love man yoga.

Friday is approaching. Your diary is blank. Do not stress! We repeat, do not stress. Here’s what’s on this weekend in Perth.

Friday 16 October


The Twilight Hawkers Markets kicks off again this Friday night for all you foodie lovers. Starting from 4.30pm you can expect to see Moroccan spiced dishes, Spanish paella and South American BBQ—the list goes on! Don’t forget to save room for the nutella waffles on a stick and salted caramel icy poles. Yum!

UK folk singer Laura Marling is returning to Australia to promote her newest album Short Movie. This talented little lady has the voice of an angel and seeing her show would be the perfect start to your weekend. Sit back and enjoy the mellow vibes or get up and have a little boogie! Either way it’s bound to be a good night.

Electric Vines festival is set to be an epic day as it turns six-years-old this year! Grab your ticket and start your day at Mandoon Estate, Elmars Brewery or Oakover Winery. A bus will then take those at Mandoon and Elmars to Oakover Grounds where everyone can continue the afternoon of live music, food and drinks together. Fun!

Spring racing season is upon us and Crown Perth are getting things started with a bang. This year's opening day is all about amazing fashion, beautiful colours and crazy headwear. Punters will have the opportunity to listen to DJ’s, visit the pamper palace, enjoy the roaming entertainment and watch the fashion on the catwalk. Oh and there will also be horse racing. Imagine!

Oktoberfest in the Gardens may be over but Northbridge Brewing Co are continuing the beer and pretzel German Party this Saturday. DJ’s will be pumping the tunes while you fill your belly with German goodies. Winning! Purchase the VIP package if you feel like you deserve an extra treat.

Don’t put your lederhosen away just yet, guys! After visiting Northbridge Brewing Co head to Varsity Bar to continue the party cos this American themed bar is turning German for a day! They’ve stocked up on bier steins and have a playlist full of yodelling tunes (as well as some bar wenches) to get you through the night. No tickets required, just rock up in your awesome costumes.

Team up folks! In order to raise awareness and funds for Telethon, the annual Ramble is taking place again. For those of you who don’t know, a ramble is a combination of a treasure hunt and an amazing race. You will have a map, a clue sheet and four hours to uncover secret locations and to solve mind-boggling puzzles in order to win a holiday to Bangkok or Phuket! This fun and interesting day out is perfect for young or old treasure hunters. Make sure you register!

Think retro cars, old school bikes, vintage clothing, knick knacks and everything in between. The Vintage Collective Markets are on again and this year they’re bigger than ever with a whopping 160 market vendors to choose from. There will also be food trucks and live entertainment, making it a pretty sweet as day out.
